Police were dispatched for a report of a crash near 152 Lincoln St., at around 8:23 p.m. Upon arrival officers saw the motorcyclist had been thrown from the bike when it collided with a Honda sedan. It was apparent that the man had not survived the crash, police said, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

A preliminary investigation has revealed that the man on the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed, south, on Lincoln Street. The Honda was traveling north. When the Honda attempted to pull into a driveway, the motorcyclist tried to go around the car, and the two vehicles collided, police said.

The operator of the motorcycle was ejected and struck a parked tractor-trailer. The incident is still under investigation, police said.
